Case of Backache
Patient: Mr. S
Chief Complaint: Backache for the past 1 year, which started suddenly while bending and getting up. The patient works in a steel company involving heavy lifting. Pain was located in the lumbar region, extending down the right leg. Also complained of a frequent urge to pass urine, often needing to stop the car while driving.
General Symptoms:
- Appetite: Good
- Bowels: Regular
- Perspiration: Profuse on forehead
- Sleep: Sound
- Mouth: Occasional stomatitis
Emotional State:
- Aggressive and obstinate by nature
- Used to play Kabaddi and go to the gym
- Becomes angry easily, may shout or throw things
- Feels he should be respected by everyone and prefers company—dislikes being alone
Treatment & Result:
A suitable homeopathic remedy was prescribed based on the totality of symptoms. Within two months, the patient reported 80% improvement in pain, stiffness, and urinary complaints.
